A month after facebook tests new sponsored stories format, the company is now planning to expand its platform with new call-to-actions for app called “check out this idea”. This would enable more interaction between users and brands and the move is aimed at monetizing facebook ads. Brands will be able to include call to actions on sponsored stories that appear on the right side of your facebook page.
Right now people can only like the sponsored ads and the new feature will allow brands to include call to actions like “buy”, “experiment with” etc.
It’s expected to launch by January 2012 once the rolling out of timeline is complete. Facebook call-to-action feature is a welcome news for brands as Social Medias are increasingly helping them to reap well with their inbound marketing efforts. Call to action lets brands to convert more leads on their facebook ads campaigns and enhances the brand presence.
