A survey conducted by STRATA reveals 89% of advertisers choose Facebook for their advertising campaigns followed by Twitter 39%, YouTube 36% and LinkedIn 21%. The new social media entrant Google + is at the bottom with 18% of advertising firms opting to spend on Google +.
There were also reports that the Facebook ad spending grew by a hefty $1286 million in 2011 while the total Facebook annual revenue rose to $ 1737 million indicating 85% of the social media giants’ revenue generated through ads.
